Add your words to the Goldfields Time Capsule…
What message will you put into a Time Capsule, about the coming of artificial intelligence and robotic technology, and their impact on the Goldfields community?
This time capsule will be presented to the City of Greater Bendigo, with a request that it be opened in 12 years time.
Email your words to: timecapsule@therobotsarecoming.org
We are looking for entries (up to 100 words) from anyone who lives or works or identifies with the Goldfields / Central Victorian community. Entries close 31st May 2024.
You might, for instance, submit a written expression of your thoughts and feelings, make a prediction, share a poem or piece of prose, or even just a quote (where you provide the original author) addressing the Time Capsule theme.
Selected entries may be read out, recorded and played, printed or displayed at the Dudley House exhibition.
Dudley House…
… is a community gallery, exhibition, function, and event space. It was constructed in 1858-1859 and was originally one of the first government offices erected in Bendigo’s Camp Hill area. It is one of the earliest buildings remaining in the Bendigo Central Business District.
“I’m trying to expand the notion of curating. Exhibitions need not only take place in galleries, need not only involve displaying objects. Art can appear where we expect it least.”
